How to Get to Modena

By Plane
The nearest airport is the Airport of Bologna Guglielmo Marconi.
The airport of Bologna has very frequent direct connections to all major European Hubs
(Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, London, Amsterdam)
From the airport, a shuttle is available, which starts at the following times:
6.15, 8.15, 9.15, 10.15, 12.15, 16.15, 18.15, 21.15
to Modena.
The trip lasts about 1 hour and costs about 10 Euro. There is a discount of 10% if you buy also the return ticket.
The Ticket can be purchased aboard of the shuttle.

By Train
Modena has direct connection by train to/from Milan, Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris.

By Car
If you travel by car, you can reach Modena by A1 Motorway. Exit at "Modena Sud" and, after the toll booth, turn right at the junction. You will be on Via Vignolese. Drive straight on for approximately 10 Km, until you get to a junction with traffic lights. Cross the road and turn the first right (via Gelmini): you will see the Faculty buildings ahead on your left.


How to get to the Faculty

The Faculty of Engineering in Modena, is located in via Vignolese, 905 (map).
You can reach the place by bus nr. 2 from the train station or the center of Modena (Largo Garbaldi), direction Polo Universitario. The travel lasts about 15 minutes. The bus-stop is via Araldi or the last stop (ask the driver for the "capolinea"). Buses are every 20 minutes.
Alternatevely, you can get the bus nr. 9 and stop in via Vignolese near the "I gelsi" shopping center (with McDonalds and COOP), cross the street and walk past the shopping center.
You can also reach the faculty by foot, (30 minutes walk).
If you arrive from the airport by the shuttle, you can ask the driver to stop near the faculty.
